Different languages are used for development of android software such as c++, java, kotlin etc.
We are going to use kotlin for development of android software because kotlin having lots of features
such as :-
1. Efficiency :- Easy to learn and it reduce the code length.
2. Cross platform :- The code written in one operating system also worked in other. For example code written in kotlin for Window also executed in Linux or Mac.
3. Statically typed language :- Verify code at compile time, if any error occur then it immediately show error. So its also reduced the time of programmer.
4. Type inference :- In some language we have to tell about datatype of variables, but kotlin automatically detect the data type.
